Rebates
There are various schemes that may cover or contribute to the cost of your appointment.
Medicare Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan
Certain podiatry consultations are eligible for a Medicare rebate if you have a referral from your GP under a Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDMP). You are limited to 5 visits in total across all allied health professionals.
The current Medicare rebate is $61.80 (As of July 2025), full payment for you visit will be taken up front, then the Medicare rebate will be paid directly into your bank account.
N.B. Any eligible CDM plan with podiatry specified can be used for treatment by an allied health professional of the same profession/type specified in the referral.
Private Health Insurance
The rebate from private health providers varies depending upon your individual cover agreement. Typical rebate rates are between $20 - $40 per visit.
NDIS
For participants, the current price limit is $188.99 per hour (effective from July 2025).
DVA
Eligible veterans typically have their fees fully covered for clinically necessary treatments with a valid referral.
White Card holders may require prior approval for treatment before receiving cover.
